A word that defines ME

If I had to choose just one single word that defines me as a person, that word would have to be BOLD. I think that this word defines me because it has a very powerful meaning, and weather its on the football field, the basketball court, on the track, or in the class room I believe that I am a very powerful person. In some sense this word also means brave, those who know me know that I am not one of the biggest guys on the field or the court or where ever, but they know that I am one of the best because I work hard and never back down from a challenge no matter who I have to challenge, that's brave. Those are the reasons why I think the best word that defines me is, BOLD.

The Tell Tail Heart (advanced reader response)

The story of the Tell Tail Heart takes place talking about and old man. The man describing the old man doesn't really seem to be too fond of the old man. He talks about how the old timers eye scares him to death and really seems to make him enraged every time he thinks about it, he gets that over riding irritating feeling that the man just cannot control for some strange reason.
The story doesn't really state the relationship between the man and the old man, I just know that they live together for some reason, I guess the man is some what of a babysitter to the old man.
As you can tell the man does not really like the old man in any way, shape, or form, especially that eye. The man tries to come up with an evil plan to kill the old man, especially the terrifying eye. His plan is to just sneak into the old mans room very quietly and secretly because for some reason the old man has the senses of a cat with superior hearing abilities, so one little sound will wake and startle the old man.
So the man finally starts his evil scheme and sneaks into the old mans room very gingerly and as quiet as possible, it takes the man almost a hour just to open the door to where he won't wake the old man. Now let's just cut to the chase, the man kills the old man and then the man just goes crazy with joy and feels the best feeling that he thinks a man could feel from killing this old man, this old innocent man. Then a knock comes to the door, its the police. The man opens the door and trys to act as normal as possible. The presence of the cops is just way too much for the man to handle and for some reason he just breaks down and tells on himself.
There are only four characters in this short story, the two main characters are the mab and the old man. The man just seem s to be a paranoid middle aged fellow that wants to kill an old man if that is the last thing that he does. The story does not really explain the old man too much other than explaining how weird and evil the old mans eye is, in a normal sense he just seems to be like any other old man, just with an odd eye. Then we have two cops, the story does not say much about these two individuals either, just that they are men and they seem to be pretty interested in the house, I say that because the men don't suspect anything odd about the house but they just will not leave. Meanwhile the man is going crazy with paranoia because he obviously just killed an old man. That is all that is needed to know for a basic idea of the characters.
The theme of this story was not at all hidden. The theme basically is, when you do something terrible like killing an old man just because of his eye, it will come out one way or another.
This short story really sends a message saying just to be a sane person, and this short story actually tries to scare u into that. I must say that this was a pretty fun story.
Today in history class
Today in my history class was actually one of the easier days in class this time, I am enrolled in world history honors with Ms. Sanchez, a pretty tough teacher but I really like her.
Now I will go to what we actually did in class today, first we were about to watch a movie wich would have made the day a lot easier but as soon as we started to play the movie we realized that we never finished the notes that we were taking in the last class, we got all thrown off track and behind because the aday class had 2 days in a row to get work done. Anyway we started to finish on our notes on some of the first ancient civilizations like the Mayans and the Incas and things of that nature. We started to talk about the religions of these early civilizations and I learned some pretty disturbing things, I learned that the Incas would sacrifice living human people for when they thought that the sun needed to refuel on blood. What they would do is make a person (most of the time a slave) walk up to the top of a huge pyramid and put there legs up on one bench and there head on another bench laying across them as if they were laying on a bed. Then a couple of incant warriors would hold the person down, one warrior would take a sharp knife made of iron, and cut rite up underneath the rib cage, stick there hand under the rib cage, grab the heart of the victim and snatch it out with one hard pull. This made my mind go crazy that things like this happened but there is even more. When the Incan warriors were done pulling out the heart they would cut off the head, then roll the body down that huge flight of stairs with blood flying everywhere with each impact, then the next victim would walk rite up the same stairs, waiting to be sacrificed.
After all that Ms. Sanchez gave us a long homework assignment and I was on my way to lunch. That Is what I did today in my history class.
